October Newsletter 2024

As we head towards winter, things are going to get busy.
This newsletter has a few tips that could help you save money and reduce your carbon footprint during the next few months.

The FPC Fresh Awards

We were thrilled to be named as finalists in two categories at this year’s FPC Fresh Awards – ‘Sustainability Excellence’ and ‘Business Partner’.

Jason, Tom, Ben, Mattan and Heidi headed to London for the ceremony on Friday 26 September.

Of course, we were disappointed not to win, but we had plenty of interesting and productive conversations, heard the latest industry updates and had an amazing meal.

A huge congratulations to all the winners!

Reduce your costs and your carbon footprint

Have you ever considered renting pallets?

Although purchasing plastic pallets gives you full control, renting them is a straightforward solution that eliminates the need for CapEx or upfront payment.

You can acquire the right number of pallet quantities for a fixed term and pay a daily hire fee for each pallet.

Available on short- or long-term hire, our Pallet Renting service allows you to reduce your carbon emissions, energy consumption and raw material usage.

Plus, our innovative tracking solutions can be implemented, providing you with location and temperature data that can ensure product freshness and reduce damages, breakages and replacement costs.

Good news for fresh produce

Last month, the UK government announced that they have postponed new border checks and fees on fresh produce imports until 1 July 2025.

This came about as a result of tireless lobbying, including by the Fresh Produce Consortium (FPC), and will hopefully alleviate the stress on supply chains, giving businesses more of a chance to prepare for future changes.

What do you think?

When you’re looking for a product or service, where’s the first place you look before making a decision?

A few months ago, we invited you to share your experiences of working with Digipal by writing us a Google review.

Your feedback is always welcome. Not only does it help our business, but it also lets other companies make informed decisions and have confidence that we can provide what they need.

A huge thanks for your ongoing support!

That’s it for this month’s newsletter. We’ll catch you in November.
